CONNECTING WITH AREA EXECUTIVES AND CELEBRATING KANSAS CITY

EML joins Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and hosts networking event

When EML chose Kansas City for its North American headquarters at the end of 2016, its leaders knew the move to Missouri would positively affect company culture, growth potential and the city itself.

“The new office relocation is a reflection of where we are going as a company. The move will create new jobs for the State of Missouri as we pursue an aggressive growth plan,” Matt Waldie, COO of EML North America, said at the time.

“We are grateful for the support of the State of Missouri,” said Eric Mettemeyer, CEO of EML North America. “They are investing in our growth, and we look forward to giving back to the State through continued job creation and community involvement.”

Now that EML has settled into its new Ward Parkway home and – yes – started creating new jobs, the time to get involved and give back has arrived. We’re proud to announce EML has joined the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce in an effort to promote our support of Kansas City as the best place to live, work, start a business and grow a business.

In celebration of this affiliation, EML recently hosted Connect & Celebrate KC, an exclusive networking event sponsored by the Chamber. Held September 20 at the historic Union Station, the event was a gathering of executives, board members and representatives from some of KC’s largest and most influential corporations and organizations.

Business leaders spent the evening building connections, enjoying drinks and food from Shanita McAfee-Bryant, local celebrity chef from The Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen and owner of Magnolia’s On The Move. Two attendees – Deborah Knight of Women’s Executive Club and Cormac McCaul of Amgen – won specially-curated gift baskets of locally-made fare including Joe’s KC BBQ sauces, Christopher Elbowchocolate, The Roasterie coffee, locally designed wares from Sew KC, and jam and drink mixes from Kansas City Canning Co.

EML would like to thank everyone who joined us to Connect & Celebrate KC. We are thrilled to be part of the Kansas City business community and anticipate a future of continued involvement, festivity and growth!
